Harvey Granat pays tribute to an American treasure, the composer George Gershwin. You'll hear some of his greatest songs, including "I Got Rhythm", "Summertime", "Embraceable You", and many more. Harvey will share wonderful stories behind the Gershwin songs, film and Broadway shows - some of them from his personal collection of original Gershwin correspondence, which now resides in the Library of Congress. Harvey Granat is an entertainer and music historian who has appeared at the 92nd St. Y in New York City, over 350 shows at Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts, Birdland and a host of others. This performance is sponsored in part by Stewart’s Shops and the Ackerman Foundation. Tickets $20 at the door, or pay what you can. Purchase advance tickets online here.
