The Copake Conservation Advisory Committee, Friends of Taconic State Park, and Copake Grange present a special Earth Day presentation: “The Plastic Pollution Crisis.” Find out about the many dangers that plastic pollution causes to humans and other animals and plants globally on land, in water and in the air, and about the economic costs to clean up and detoxify our planet's environment of plastic wastes. The foci of the presentation will range from the global perspective to current efforts in New York State to address plastic waste. Speaker Kristin Shevis of the organization “Beyond Plastics” will make an informative presentation you should hear. This event is Free.
